Former A&P Meat Cutter Was Army, Navy Veteran

Mr. Raymond Morrison Frame, age 82, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Woodlands, Clifton Forge.

He was the husband of Dessie Ann Smith Frame.

Mr. Frame was born September 29, 1931 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Felix James Frame and Rosanna Knapp Frame.

He served his country as a member of both the United States Army and the United States Navy.

He was employed as a meat cutter by the former A&P Grocery Store, retiring after several years of service. Raymond was very active in the community with youth recreation and was an avid volunteer.

Mr. Frame is survived by a son, Robert M. "Bob" Frame of Covington; one daughter, Vicki Shannon and husband, Clinton of Forest Hill, MD; five grandchildren, April D. Leavens and husband, Brian, Perry A. "P.J." Balser, Jr., Ashley S. Osbourne, Hannah E. Stephenson Markham and Thomas E. "Tommy" Stephenson, Jr.; eight great grandchildren, Cole Sutton Leavens, Austin Thomas Leavens, Kirsten Melaine Leavens, Kale Maynard Markham, Memfis Jane Markham, Hunter Andrew Osborne, Delilah Grace Osborne and Bentley Christian Balser; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Frame was preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Frame Stephenson.

A graveside service was conducted in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Doug E. Hollenbeck officiating.
