Obituary for Emma Jane Easter Emma Jane Easter
White Sulphur Springs Native Was Clifton Forge Baptist Church Member

Emma Jane Easter, 86, of The Brian Center in Low Moor and formerly of Rose Avenue in Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday morning, November 27, 2013 at the nursing center.

She was born in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, on June 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Joel Franklin and Leo Beckner Easter.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, and loved just being around people.

She was a member of the Clifton Forge Baptist Church.

She is survived by four nieces, Becky Woodall of Chesapeake, Betsy Gross of Staunton, Lisa Easter of Clifton Forge, and June Diane Klement of Georgia; a nephew, Jay Easter of Williamsburg; a number of great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joel E. "Jack" Easter and his wife, Frances Easter; a niece, June Easter, and by a half sister, June Morrison.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Glenn Linthicum officiating. Interment be made in the Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Nicely Funeral Home and following the service.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Brian Center Activity Fund, c/o The Brian Center, 1 ARH Lane, Low Moor, Virginia 24457.
