Creative Fabrication Machinist Dies At Age 50

Ronald Eugene (Ronnie) Hodges, age 50, of 10979 Douthat State Park Road, Millboro, Virginia, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor.

Born January 13, 1963 in Franklin County, Virginia, he was a son of Benjamin Wilson Hodges and Judith Carroll Hill Lawson.

He was machinist for Creative Fabrication, Inc. and was a member of Oak Grove Advent Christian Church and the Alleghany Highlands YMCA.

In addition to his parents, Benjamin Hodges and Judith Lawson, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. Hodges of Millboro; two daughters, Jessica Hodges of Danville and Sharon Puffenbarger and husband, Jody of Hot Springs; three sons, Andy Stidman of Axton, Brian Reynolds of Millboro, and Michael Reynolds of Millboro; a brother, Wilson Benjamin Hodges, Jr. of Bassett; three grandchildren, Dixie, Waylon, and Nicholas; and maternal grandmother, Billie Halstead.

He was preceded in death by a step father, Raymond C. Lawson, Jr.

A funeral service was held on Thursday at 12:00 noon in Oak Grove Advent Christian Church, Bath County, with Reverend Grover Nicely officiating. Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath County. Pallbearers were J.R. Comer, Mike "Clean" Andrews, Kenny Callahan, Keith Simpson, John Nicely and Timmy Dressler.

The family received friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. Nicely Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
