Ada Martin Tingler, 84, of Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

She was born January 26, 1929 in Paint Bank, a daughter of the late Ray and Viola Bostic Martin.

Mrs. Tingler was a care giver in the Covington area for many years.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Parker L. Tingler, Sr., in 1996; one sister, Frances M. Bell; a brother, Ray Martin, Jr., and three infant siblings.

Surviving are her daughter, Dreama Wade and her husband, Mike of Covington; her son, Parker L. Tingler, Jr. and his wife, Joy of Covington; three grandchildren, Kim Wade and fiance, Jesse Pruet of Oakland, CA; Patrick Wade and his wife, Michelle of Naugatuck, CT and Chris Tingler of Covington; seven great grandchildren, Ashli Tingler, Breanna Tingler, Christopher Tingler, Caleb Wade, Luke Wade, Josiah Wade, and Katelynne Wade; two brothers, Douglas Martin and his wife, Liz, and Jeff Martin and his wife, Esther, all of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
