Obituary for Pauline Martin Griffith Pauline Martin Griffith
White Sulphur Springs Native Dies At Age 97

Pauline Martin Griffith went to be with the Lord on Saturday night, December 7, 2013 at the White Sulphur Springs Care Center.

She was born on June 12, 1916, a daughter of the late Samuel Bernie and Emma Bowyer Martin.

On March 27, 1937, Polly, married the love of her life, the late Paul L. Griffith, with whom she shared her life until his passing in 2004.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Ernie Palmer of Paint Bank, and a number of nieces and nephews of whom she was particularly fond, and her extended family of caregivers at the White Sulphur Springs Care Center.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday December 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Bill Keeney Officiating and assisted by Mary Hepler.

Pallbearers will be Rich Carter, Paul Carter, Pete Cook, Brian Hirt, Calvin Fridley, Steve Haynes, and Buddy Vass and Honorary Pallbearer will be Bob Carter.

The internment will be in the Sweet Chalybeate Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
