Member Of The Clifton Forge Women Of The Moose Dies At Age 53

Loretta Jean (Jeannie) Crance, 53, of 516 Douglas Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor, Virginia.

She was born January 10, 1960, in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Edward Lee and Martha Dodd Crance.

She was a homemaker and caretaker, a member of the Clifton Forge Women of the Moose, and loved her cat.

She is survived by a daughter, Sally Ann Philpott and husband, Eddie, of Hot Springs; a son, William Blair King, of Covington; three sisters, Sue Elizabeth Wood and husband, Greg, of Goode, Betty Lou Crance, of Fincastle, and Bonnie Louise Crance, of Clifton Forge; two brothers, Edward Lynwood "Linnie" Crance and wife, Pam, of Clifton Forge, and Russell Lee "Rusty" Crance and wife, Cindy, of Lexington; a granddaughter, Adrianna Katherine Philpott, of Hot Springs; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Albert Wolfe, of Covington, and Paula Crance, of Clifton Forge.

Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Botetourt County.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, P.O. Box 13367, Roanoke, VA 24033.
