Mrs. Linda Dew Walthall, age 75, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Pheasant Ridge Nursing and Rehab, Roanoke.

She was the wife of the late Ralph Lawrence Walthall.

Mrs. Walthall was born November 6, 1938 in Covington, the daughter of the late Ira Allen Dew and Ethel Clark Dew.

Mrs. Walthall was of the Methodist faith.

She enjoyed sewing, music, horseback riding and loved all animals.

Mrs. Walthall is survived by two sons, Michael Bruce Walthall of Powhatan and Timothy Ira Walthall of Roanoke; one daughter, Bonnie A. Blum of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Walthall was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Dew and Leo Dew and two sisters, Christine Dew Travis and Charlotte Dew Counts.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 20113, at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to the Virginia Chapter of the March of Dimes, 4191 Innslake Drive Suite 201, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
