Obituary for Timothy Roy, (T.R.) Lawler, Jr. Timothy Roy, (T.R.) Lawler, Jr.
Retired Safety Inspector Was U. S. Navy World War II Veteran

Timothy Roy, (T.R.) Lawler, Jr., 85, of 631 Commercial Ave., Clifton, Forge, Virginia, died Friday, January 17, 2014 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

He was born June 7, 1928 in Clifton Forge, a son of the late Timothy R. Lawler, Sr. and Beulah Deeds Lawler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Joyce Copper Lawler, in October of 2013.

Mr. Lawler served with the United States Navy during World War II.

He was a retired safety inspector with the Federal Railroad Administration.

He was a member of the Foundry United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach; Clifton Forge Lodge #1065, B. P. O. E; Syrian Shriners A.A.O.N.M.S. of Cincinnati, OH; Grand Lodge of Kentucky F & A.M and Poage Masonic Lodge in Ashland, KY.

Surviving are two daughters, Christy Seldomridge of Covington and Nora Trout of Columbia, SC; one son, Jeff Swartz of Erie, PA ; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Sumner of Richmond.

The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William M. Hartsfield officiating.

Following the service the family will receive friends at Arritt Funeral Home.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.
