Obituary for Phoeba Waybright (Dimpie) Fury Phoeba Waybright (Dimpie) Fury
West Virginia Native Was Faith Baptist Church Member

Mrs. Phoeba Waybright (Dimpie) Fury, age 88, of Covington, Virginia, died January 13, 2014 at LewisGale-Alleghany.

She was the wife of the late Jarret Armstead Fury, Sr.

Mrs. Fury was born May 2, 1925 in Ripley, WV, the daughter of the late Fleet Waybright and Eva Harmon Waybright.

She had been a resident of the area since the 1940's and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.

She enjoyed working in her garden, wood carving, crochet, painting, quilts, but most enjoyed her family.

Mrs. Fury is survived by two sons: Jarret A. "Jerry" Fury, Jr. and wife, Debbie, Victor L. Fury and wife, Linda Jo; two daughters: Eva F. Sedor and husband, George and Linda F. Dressler and husband, Carl; seven grandchildren: Christopher B. Fury, Kimberly A. Fury, Victor L. Fury, Jennifer Fury Bowe, Emily Andrews Taylor, Eric Andrews, and Carl Dressler III; great grandchildren: Brandon Bowe, Lance Bowe, Jake Bowe, Kaleb Gage Fury, Olivia Keatts and Cottia Taylor, Eva Marie Taylor and Vincent Andrews; one brother, Richard F. Waybright; and three sisters: Addie Lockhart and husband, Roland, Barbara Skinner and husband, Raymond and Isabella Hoffman; and forty-six nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elda Waybright and Charlie Waybright; six sisters, Bernice Knopp, Freda Charlton, Myrtle Wiblin, Elsa Petty, Ruby Campbell, and Verna Ingraham; and four nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m.. Thursday, January 16, 2014 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Price officiating. Interment followed at Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and family members attending the service.

The family received friends on Wednesday evening at Loving Funeral Home.
