Former Alleghany County Assistant General District Court Clerk Dies At Age 69

Jacqueline Kay Wolfe, 69, of 1806 Potts Creek Road, Covington, Virginia, died Friday, January 17, 2014 at Lewis Gale Alleghany in Low Moor.

Kay was born July 22, 1944 in Alleghany County, a daughter of the late Lawrence D. Wolfe , Sr. and Marie Tingler Wolfe.

She had retired as an assistant clerk with the Alleghany County General District Court.

Kay was a member of Edgemont Presbyterian Church and was a former Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded by her long time companion, Charles Cox in November 2013.

Surviving are a sister, Janet McAllister and her husband, Norman, of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, L. David Wolfe, Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Covington; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including, Sylvia Bess, Ruth Tingler and Wanda Fridley.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Bowker officiating.

The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time at Arritt Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon.
