Mary Louise Hurt Hedrick, 84, of Lexington, Virginia, and formerly Buena Vista, passed away on January 30, 2014.

She was born in New Jersey on February 22, 1929, a daughter of the late Arthur Milton Hurt and Eva Burton Jennings Hurt.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Thomas B. Hedrick, and grandson Eric Banas.

She is survived by her children, Thomas B. Hedrick, Jr. (Renae) of Chesterfield, Va., James H. Hedrick (Diana) of Laurel, Md., Charlotte H. Banas (Ed) of Belize, and Carolyn H. Williams (John) of Lexington.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Christopher T. Hedrick of Rock Hill, Mo., Lauren H. Smith (Mike) of Frederick, Md., Natalie Banas, of Vancleave, Miss., Jennifer H. Divers (Brandon) of Haughton, La., Kathryn Hedrick of Alexandria, Va., Carly Williams, Cole Williams and Catie Williams, all of Lexington.

A service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with Rev. John Choi officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements by Bolling, Grose & Lotts and Cremation Service, Buena Vista.

A reception will follow at St. John's United Methodist Church in Buena Vista.
