Obituary for Louise Alexander Showalter Louise Alexander Showalter
Well-Known Local Realtor Was Washington, D. C. Native

Louise Alexander Showalter, age 74, of 52 Lakeview Court, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her residence.

She was born December 7, 1939 in Washington D. C. to the late Harry and Genella Sims Alexander.

She was owner/operator of Fairfield Farms Realty, former owner/operator of La Belle Dame Boutique, both Clifton Forge businesses, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

She enjoyed playing bridge and had a great love of music, sharing that love by teaching area children to play piano.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nichols Showalter, Sr. in December of 2011.

She is survived by her son, Scott A. Showalter of Eagle Rock; step son, Richard N. Showalter, Jr. of Vienna; step daughter, Sherry Showalter of Arlington; grandson, Alex Showalter of Eagle Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.

The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Immanuel Baptist Church, 2819 Douthat Road, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or to Mountain Regional Hospice Volunteers, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
