Obituary for Wilma Jean Lepley Arthur Payton Wilma Jean Lepley Arthur Payton
Wilma Jean Lepley Arthur Payton passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late Mahlon Eugene Lepley and Mabel Belle Callison Lepley of Meadow Bridge, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ray Payton in April 2005, and two brothers, Carroll Lepley and Douglas Lepley.

A loving and caring mother, Wilma is survived by three children: a son, Wayne Edward Payton, of Winterpark, FL, and two daughters and sons-inilaw, D'ona and Clarence Kellison, and Daphne and Alan Livesay. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Trevor Wayne and Zachary Alan Payton of Orlando, FL, Mackenzie Wayne Kellison, Elizabeth Jean Kellison, Patrick Alan Livesay and wife, Haley Unroe Livesay of Seaside, CA, Rachael Renee Livesay of Woodbridge, VA, and Adam Warren Livesay.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles Ray Lepley and Frances Hutsenpillar Lepley of WV and sisters-in-law, Sharon Simms Lepley, Jenny Babcock, and Linda Faye Payton Wolfe. Also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a longstanding and loyal member of the Covington Women of the Moose, having attained the highest standings in the offices of the ladies auxiliary of the lodge, including Senior Regent. She enjoyed her Friday night dinner with her Moose friends.

She was also a member of the Best Western Card club and loved her time spent with them. She will be missed by her special friend JoAnn Austin.

She was a member of Covington Baptist Church, and a former member of McAllister Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service was conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Dr. Ted W. Fuson officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mackenzie Kellison, Adam Livesay, Wayne Wolfe, Bob McAllister, and B.A. Fridley, Jr.

The family received friends on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. until service time at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Covington Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 588, Covington, VA 24426 or the American Heart Association, C/O Joy Brackman Weeks, Memorial Chairman, 2212 Dressler Drive, Covington, VA 24426.
