Obituary for Ralph Layne Hepler Ralph Layne Hepler
Retired CSX Conductor Dies At Age 83

Ralph Layne Hepler, 83, of 212 Broken Arrow Lane, died, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Lewis gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

He was born August 1, 1930 in Alleghany County , a son of the late Henry Madison "Matt" and Virgie Terry Helper.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by two sister, Raynelle Detamore and Doris Simmons.

Mr. Helper retired in 1986 as a conductor with the CSX Railroad.

Surviving are his wife, Christine Campbell helper of Covington; two brothers, Freddie Hepler and his wife, Helen and Carlos Hepler and his wife, Ruth, all of Covington; two sisters, Barbara Acosta of Covington and Bonnie Burrows and her husband, Jack of Jacksonville, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. David Brown officiating.
