Homemaker Was Longdale United Methodist Church Member

Josephine Craft Clark, age 87, of 300 Clark Lane in Longdale, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, March 12, 2013 at The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Low Moor.

She was born December 14, 1926 in the Longdale area of Clifton Forge to the late Stokes William and Nona Robinson Craft.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Longdale United Methodist Church.

She belonged to the Westvaco Rescue Squad Ladies Auxiliary and loved to play bingo and watch NASCAR.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Harless Clark in May of 2013; three brothers, William Craft, Marion Craft and Gene Craft; and a granddaughter, Melissa Lynette Ruff.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Crush of Covington, Linda Stull and husband, Billy of Rich Patch, Covington, and Ellen Sue Ruff of Fincastle; a son, Dennis E. Clark of Longdale, Clifton Forge, and a friend and caregiver, Cindy Gier of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Esther Craft of Buchanan, and Cynthia Newcomb and husband, Lynn of Blackstone; three brothers, Jack Craft and wife, Shelby of Longdale, Clifton Forge, Wesley Craft and wife, Judy of Longdale, Clifton Forge, and Jerry Craft and wife, Sharon of Clifton Forge; seven grandchildren, Christine Unroe and husband, Mark of Clifton Forge, Jill Phillips and husband, Craig of Bath County, Mark Stull and wife, DeAnn of Rich Patch, Covington, Robin Stiltner and husband, Danny of Fincastle, Howard Crush and wife, Melissa of Covington, Phyllis Bartley and husband, Daryl of Covington, and Lauren Ella Clark of Clifton Forge; fourteen great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lester Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
