Gary Lee Edwards, 55, of Buena Vista, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 4, 2014.

Born April 13, 1958 in Bluefield, West Virginia, the son of Sylvia Pauley Ratcliffe of Buena Vista and the late Charley Edwards.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Luther Ratcliffe and stepbrother, Larry Ratcliffe.

Gary worked for Bluebird East for 17 years and Mohawk for the past 21 years.

Surviving are his children, Brandon Edwards and wife, Kim of Raphine, Va.; Tonya Edwards of Roanoke, Va.; Hannah Edwards of Vesuvius, Va.; stepdaughter, Lindsay Zimbro of Buena Vista, Va.; two stepbrothers, Darrel Ratcliffe and Jeff Ratcliffe, both of Lexington, Va.; four grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis McDaniel, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the New Providence Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
