Obituary for Roy Beverley Roy Beverley
Reeves Brothers Retiree Was World War II Veteran

Roy Beverley, 84, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died on April 6, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

Born on December 8, 1929 in Buena Vista.

Roy was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Albert Beverley and Bessie Lawhorn Beverley of Buena Vista; his wife, Frances Southers Beverley; and a daughter, Alicia Campbell (Lisa Gail), also of Buena Vista.

Mr. Beverley retired from Reeves Brothers and was also a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II.

Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Thomas S. Beverley and wife, Susan, and Timothy D. Beverley and wife, Kathy, all of Buena Vista; six grandchildren, Tonya Beverley and Bobby, Megan Purcell and husband Jeremy, Joanie Goodson and husband, William, Mary, Cody, and Jonathan Beverley; five great-grandchildren, Lillee Purcell, Sydney Knick, William Goodson, Jamie and Jason Miller, all of Buena Vista. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Roy W. Campbell; a sister-in-law, Jennie Kulp, of Buena Vista; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
