Boyd Norman (Johnny) Ramsey, 85, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.

Born on June 5, 1928 in Rockbridge County, he was the son of the late Robert Ramsey and Dora Mason Ramsey.

He retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a step-son-in-law, David McCormick.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by his loving wife, Mary C. Ramsey; three step children, Peggy McCormick, Linda Floyd and husband, Larry Moose, and Greg Campbell and wife, Sheila, all of Buena Vista; a brother, Meredith Ramsey, of Monroe, Va.; three sisters, Helen Klotzer, of Roanoke, Edith Gilbertt, of Staunton, Va., Opal Wallace, of Lexington, Va.; and a special nephew, Chris Ramsey.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home with Elder Danny Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
