Obituary for Fannie Kate Williams Kellison Fannie Kate Williams Kellison
Mrs. Fannie Kate Williams Kellison, lovingly known as "Kitty", went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday April 25, 2014 following an illness.

She was in Bath Community Hospital when she passed away.

She was born June 4, 1923 in Giles County to Jesse and Lyda Williams.

Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, James Clarence Kellison, Sr.; a daughter, Mildred Miller; an infant daughter, Teresa Kellison; and two infant great granddaughters, Callie Givens and Autumn Middleton.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Samuel, J.J., Ralph, Richard and Lyman Williams and a sister, Janice Collins.

Her life was enriched by her family.

She is survived daughters, Diane Statton and husband, John, of Richmond Virginia, Penny Kellison and husband, Nathan Rock of Covington and son, James Kellison, Jr. and wife, Penny, also of Covington. She is also survived by son-in- law, Dennis Miller of Covington; a brother, Bill Williams and wife, Mary Lois; a sister, Loveline Martin; two sisters-in-law, Betty Williams and Jane Williams.

Kitty was so very proud and loved each of her 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grand children.

Her love for the Lord, her family, and her friends was evident in her life each day.

She was a dedicated Hokie football fan. She loved the Monarch butterfly, gardening, sewing and spending time teaching the Bible to anyone who would listen. She also loved her best friend, Mary Kern and husband, JP, and special friend, Daisy Blankenship.

A funeral service was conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Cole officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Richard Miller, James Dressler, David Wiley, Mark Chamberlain, Steven Gentry, Justin Wright, Preston Wiley and Jarrod Givens. Alternate pallbearers were Aaron Fitzgerald and Larry Rock.

The family received friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until service time at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O J.P. Kern, 3515 Jackson River Road, Covington, VA 24426.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Jim Redington and the staff at Bath Community Hospital for the wonderful care they gave to our loved one. Their care and compassion was outstanding and a true blessing to the family.
