Korean War Veteran Was Sweet Chalybeate Resident

Donald (Duck) Snyder, 76, of Sweet Chalybeate, Virginia, and Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

He was born Friday, May 27, 1938, in Sweet Chalybeate, Virginia, the son of the late John and Dorothy Snyder.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Barbara of 39 years; and a sister, Juanita Rose.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Toni Mize and husband, Dave and Kandi Ann Brewster and husband, Brian; son, Randi Snyder and wife, Kris, all of Indiana; brother, Gene Snyder and wife, Linda; sisters, Armilda Bradley and husband, Chuck and Betty Rogers and husband, Bob, all of Covington. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Jared, Leslie, Tyler, Cheyenne, Lacy and Nathan; one great-grandchild, Alexander all of Indiana; uncle, Willie Kirk, of Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.

He served his country in the U. S. Army in Korea.

He was loved by many and always willing to lend a hand.
