Self-Employed Nail Technician Was Iron Gate Baptist Church Member

Johnnie Leigh Hoy Anderson age 45, of 423 West Locust Street, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at her residence.

Born on June 26, 1969 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, Johnnie was a daughter of Irene Hoy of Clifton Forge and the late John Edward Hoy.

She was a self-employed nail technician and was a member of Iron Gate Baptist Church.

She loved dogs.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Woodrow and Claudine Anderson, and grandparents, George and Callie Hoy and Paul and Rosa Nicholas.

Johnnie is survived by her loving husband, Charles Pharr "Charlie" Anderson, who is thankful to God for the years he had with her; her mother, Irene Hoy of Eagle Rock; two sons, Nick Anderson of Covington, and Steve Anderson and wife, Stacey of Vinton; three sisters, Vickie Kern and husband, Darrell of Eagle Rock, Elizabeth Chenault and husband, Robert of Clifton Forge, and Cheryl Chaplin and husband, Tony of Stuarts Draft; a brother, Paul Hoy and wife, Marcie of Selma; a grandson, Karson Anderson; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends; special friend, Terri Fuller; and special companions, Chico, Peppe and Sassy.

Johnnie touched many lives with her sweetness and kindness, and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday evening, July 1, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in Iron Gate Baptist Church with Reverend Hunter Hale officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is in charge of arrangements. The family requests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
