Some people only dream of angels, we held one in our arms!

God welcomed Haley Grace Nida into his loving kingdom on August 17, 2014.

She was born August 2, 2014, a beautiful black-haired, blue-eyed angel weighing 2 pounds and 8 ounces and measuring 13 inches long.

We may never understand why things like this happen, but we must simply trust God's will.

Haley is survived by her parents, John L. Nida, Jr. and Ambra Baldwin Nida, of Covington; her maternal grandparents, James and Linda Baldwin, of Covington; her paternal grandparents, Johnny and Shirley Nida, of Covington; her maternal great grandmother, Thelma McLung, of Rupert, WV; aunts and uncles, Penny and John Murphy, Tucker and Angie Baldwin, Katie and Bob Graham, and Lori and Stacey Byer, all of Covington; and eight cousins, Laura Kay Via, Anne Marie and William Ruthbun, James Graham, Morgan Graham, Hannah Baldwin, Hayden Baldwin, Seth and Beth Dame, and Tiffany Dame.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Hollenbeck and the Rev. David Brown officiating.

The family will receive their friends following the service at Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggests that donations in Haley's name be made to Ronald McDonald House, 2224 Jefferson Street, S.E., Roanoke, VA 24014.
