Nadine Thacker Ruley, 82, of Lexington, Virginia, died Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her home.

Born February 25, 1932 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Evvie Campbell Thacker.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Borden "Pat" Ruley, a son, Ronald Edward "Rooster" Ruley, and a daughter, Sue Ruley Olive.

Mrs. Ruley was a member of the Lauderdale ARP Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are daughters, Sandra Ruley Garnett of Lexington and Kathy Ruley of Broadway; son, Gary Patrick Ruley, of Natural Bridge, sisters, Betty T. Saunders of Glasgow, Joyce T. Morris of Salem; brother, E. Calvin Thacker of Natural Bridge Stationl seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and a special niece, Joyce and her husband, Billy Snider of Buena Vista.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Lauderdale ARP Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Timothy Saunders officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
