Mr. Harold Michael Dolan, age 65, of Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, August 28, 2014, at his residence.

He was the husband of Debra Angle Dolan.

Mr. Dolan was born April 8, 1949 in Covington, the son of the late Harold and Mary Lemon Dolan.

He was employed as a building inspector by the City of Covington before his retirement.

Mike enjoyed working with his hands and liked to build toys and things for his grandchildren as well as refinishing furniture.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dolan is survived by two sons, Christopher R. Dolan of Bedford County and Jonathan M. Dolan and wife, Sarah of Virginia Beach; one daughter, Heather N. Dolan and companion, Travis Lemond of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Christopher M. Lemond, Landon M. Dolan, and Alexander W. Dolan; two brothers, Gary Dolan and wife, Sheri of Roanoke and Kendall Dolan and wife, Rhonda of Covington; one sister, Kathy Beirne of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation was conducted Sunday evening, August 31, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home. The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to the Alleghany Humane Society, P. O. Box 60, Low Moor, VA 24457.
