Obituary for Wallace Payne Persinger Wallace Payne Persinger
Rich Patch Native Was Construction Company Owner

Wallace Payne Persinger, age 85, of Clifton Forge, Virginia, went to Heaven on Monday, October 6, 2014.

He was born February 20, 1929 in Rich Patch, to the late Charles Cecil and Virgie Ellen Persinger.

He was owner/operator of Persinger Construction Company and a member of Walton Memorial United Methodist Church.

He was a hardworking man who loved gardening, welding and cutting firewood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Juanita Francisco Persinger in 2007; three brothers, his twin, Wilbur Persinger, as well as Thurman Persinger and Warren Persinger; and a sister, Christine Holesapple.

He is survived by three sons, Eddie Persinger and his wife, Pat of Clifton Forge, Jeff Persinger and his wife, Jennifer of Bedford, and Mike Persinger of Clifton Forge; a number of nieces and nephews; and his best buddy "Bandit".

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Lester Kennedy officiating.

Interment will follow in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be selected from friends and family attending the service.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Walton Memorial United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 190, Iron Gate, VA 24448.
