Obituary for Elizabeth Faye Bess Sizemore Elizabeth Faye Bess Sizemore
Alleghany County Native Was Gospel Light Baptist Church Member

Mrs. Elizabeth Faye Bess Sizemore, age 68, of Covington, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven, Friday, October 24, 2014, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

She was the wife of Clinton Garfield Sizemore, Sr.

Mrs. Sizemore was born September 8, 1946 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Earl Lockhart and Mary Bess Lockhart and was reared in the home of her aunt, Laura May Kimberlin.

A lifetime resident of this community, she was a certified nursing assistant and a homemaker.

Faye was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church.

She was also a member of the Alcova Red Hat Jewels, a former president and member of the Alleghany High School Band Boosters, as well as a member of the Boiling Springs Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband of forty-seven years, Mrs. Sizemore is survived by four sons, C.G. Sizemore, Jr. of Norton OH, Stuart Sizemore of Covington, Paul Sizemore of Smith Mountain Lake, and Chris Sizemore and wife, Abby of Covington; two grandchildren, Jordan Addison Sizemore and Grayson Christopher Sizemore, and special sister, Barbara Fitzgerald.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Nicely officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be C.G. Sizemore, Jr., Stuart Sizemore, Paul Sizemore, Chris Sizemore, Leo Kimberlin and Allen Ray Kimberlin.

The family received friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Stuart Sizemore, 207 Broken Arrow Lane, Covington.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to the Gospel Light Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 302 S. Craig Avenue, Covington, VA 24426.
