Obituary for Donnie Lacey Wines Donnie Lacey Wines
Retired Master Mechanic Was Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Member

Donnie Lacey Wines, 72, of Glasgow, Virginia, died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his home.

Born July 13, 1942 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Charles Ernest Wines and Josephine Hayes Wines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, the Rev. Robert Wines.

Mr. Wines was a member of the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, and retired as a master mechanic for Burlington Industries after twenty four years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Vergie Davis Wines, of Glasgow; one son, Neal Wines and wife, Amber, of Roanoke; two step granddaughters, Katy and Kylie; one step great granddaughter, Amaiyah; two brother-in-laws, Morgan Davis and wife, Melanie, Andrew Davis and wife, Anita; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Laura, Katie, Brandon, Bradley, Lisa, and Michael.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Falling Spring Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ken officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Spring Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Donnie to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington, VA 24450 or to a charity of your choice.
