Florida Native Was Former La Belle Dame Boutique Employee

Mildred Waters (Millie) Salvemini, age 87, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Ridgeview Apt 609, Clifton Forge, Virginia, and formerly of Norfolk, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 at her residence.

She was born June 14, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Archie and Janie Waters.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, a cashier for Colonial Stores in Norfolk, and worked at the former La Belle Dame Boutique in Clifton Forge.

She lived at Scott Hill for over twenty years, where she kept her friends "in stitches" with the jokes she loved to tell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lawrence "Larry" Salvemini in 2005.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence Anthony "Tony" Salvemini of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Linda Jean Stevenson of Clifton Forge; four grandchildren, Jimmy Shannon, Tammy Shields, Tina Lowen and Brian Edward Carry; four great grandchildren, Chrystal Shields, Haley Shields, Nicholas Carry, and Lillian Grace Shannon; and a great great granddaughter, Ava Ann Marie Shields.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge is handling arrangements.
