Irene Zimbro Branch, 82, of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, November 7, 2014 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born March 28, 1932 in Goshen, she was a daughter of the late Henry Zimbro and Annie Bryant Zimbro.

She was the last member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Hazelwood, Josephine Alderman and Lilla Belle Cottee; and brothers, Thomas Zimbro and Everett Zimbro.

Surviving are her husband, Ivan Waverly Branch, and daughter, Janet Renee Branch Field and husband, Lewis of Scottsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Monmouth Presbyterian Church, 2348 W. Midland Trail, Lexington, VA 24450 or Faith Baptist Church, 15 Faith Baptist Circle, Natural Bridge Station, VA 24579.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Martin Stokes and Rev. Terry Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014.
