Obituary for Ava Loudin Hughes Ava Loudin Hughes
West Virginia Native Was Lexington Resident

Ava Loudin Hughes, 87, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Kendal.

Born June 5, 1927, in Blue Rock, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James Andrew Loudin and Yula Limbers Loudin.

In addition to her parents and seven siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Hughes Jr.

Ava was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Dawn Hughes Peck; and son, Mark Loudin Hughes; four grandchildren, Benjamin Peck, Emily Peck-McClain, Ryan Peck, Madeline Peck, and four great-grandchildren, Zoe Peck-McClain, Phoebe Peck-McClain, Noah Peck and Ethan Peck.

A funeral service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Kendal Hall with her granddaughter the Rev. Emily Peck-McClain and the Rev. Norman Tippens officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers Street, Lexington VA 24450.
