Thomas Arthur Brizendine, 97, of Glasgow, Virginia, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Hackettstown Memorial Hospital in Hackettstown, N.J.
Born December 2, 1917 in Bedford County, Virginia, the son of the late Henry Arthur Brizendine and Connie Elizabeth Padgett Brizendine.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Elizabeth Milam Brizendine.
Mr. Brizendine was a member of the Glasgow Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Anne B. Acuff, of N.J.; one sister, Elsie B. Humphreys, of Tenn; one granddaughter, Laura B. Acuff, of N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Big Island Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Meredith officiating. There was no visitation at the funeral home.
