Clifton Forge Resident Was MeadWestvaco Foreman

Bryan Oswald (Ozzie) Carroll, age 60 of 1404 Madison Ave., Clifton Forge, Virginia, has gone to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

He died at LewisGale Hospital-Montgomery in Blacksburg.

He was born January 23, 1954 in Covington to Cordelia Elizabeth Carroll.

He was employed as a foreman at MeadWestvaco.

He was a member of the Wrightsville Baptist Church in Covington.

He was also known as a community man who loved to help others.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Carroll of Clifton Forge; three daughters, Aleshia Carroll of Roanoke, Angelica Tucker and husband, Austin of Lynchburg, and Adrienne Cooper of Covington; a brother, Robert Carroll and wife, Sherrie of Covington; a sister, Linda Carroll of Covington; two brothers-in-law, William Heighter and wife, Tonya of Elizabeth City N.C., and James Heighter of Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Lillian Heighter, and Beneatha Heighter, both of Clifton Forge; an aunt, Alice Jordan of Covington; also three grandchildren; special friends, Steve Broughman of Clifton Forge, and Richard and Mildred Turner of Elizabeth City N.C.; also a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with the Reverend Matthew T. Barnette officiating.
