Shirley Patterson White Ketron, age 57, of 161 Cabin Hallow Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

She was born January 1, 1958 in Clifton Forge to the late Elva Ledford Patterson and Joyce Loretta Via Patterson.

She was a homemaker throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Ward and Nancy Patterson, and a brother, Richard Patterson.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Ketron of Eagle Rock; three daughters, Kimberly White-DePriest of Eagle Rock, Amanda Hall and her significant other, Larry Woodward of Iron Gate, and Heather White Richardson and husband, Freddie of Roanoke; a son, Phillip "Pies" White II and wife, Kelly of Selma; four sisters, Nita Loving of Burnsville, Elizabeth Jefferies of Mechanicsville, Lettie Patterson of Millboro, and Victoria Sorrels and husband, C.R. of Clifton Forge; a brother, Roy Patterson of Salem; thirteen grandchildren, Austin Salyards and friend Kayla Peregoy), Alex Salyards, Steven Hall III, Logan Woodard, Hayden Woodard, Cullen White, Dustin Gusler, Katie Gusler, Angel White, Arianna White, Tiffany White, Katelyn White, and Emily White; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
