Obituary for Delmas Sidney Hyler Delmas Sidney Hyler
Retired Hall's Transfer Mechanic Was Clifton Forge Native

Delmas Sidney Hyler, age 75, of 816 Ingalls Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Thursday January 22, 2015 in LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.

He was born March 14, 1939 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Charles Hyler and Mattie Elizabeth Ayers Hyler.

He was a retired mechanic from Hall's Transfer in Clifton Forge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Hyler, Frazier T. Hyler, Charles Hyler; and a sister, Madeline H. Clark.

He is survived by his wife, Patty Biggs Hyler of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Sarah Burnette and husband, Thomas Burnette of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Vadnia "Virginia" Clark of Clifton Forge and Carolyn Waldron of Florida; three brothers, Richard Hyler of Clifton Forge, Ray Hyler of Florida, Harry Hyler of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren, Nikita Sullivan and husband, Christopher, Megan Russell and husband, Dustin, Thomas Ray Burnette II and friend, Brianna Wolfe, Aaron Burnette, Issac Burnette; two great grandchildren, Rachael Renae Sullivan and "Roo" Russell; also a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with Reverend John Burnham officiating, assisted by associate Reverend Jeff Riley. Interment will follow.

There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
