Obituary for Neil Charles Arnold Neil Charles Arnold
Lexington Resident Managed Restaurants Most Of His Life

Neil Charles Arnold, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at his home in Lexington, Virginia, surrounded by his beloved family, after a heroic battle with cancer.

He was 57.

Born in Fullerton, Calif, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jacquelyn and Bob Arnold, as well as his older brother, Kirk; and his dog, Rufus.

After his father's early death and his mother's prolonged illness, he and his brothers stayed with relatives, finally ending up in Virginia.

Neil attended McDonogh High School and the University of Richmond.

He spent most of his career managing restaurants, including The Bone, which he owned and operated here in Lexington. After retiring from restaurant life, he ran his own tile and flooring company, Underfoot Construction, and then worked at his favorite hotel, Col Alto.

He loved to read, tell corny jokes, and cheer for his daughters in all their activities.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen; their daughters, Gina, Jacquelyn, and Jordan; his brother, Quint; and a vast and loving extended family.

Family night will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Harrison Funeral Home in Lexington. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
