Stephen Andrea (Looney) Smith, 58, of 1023 Lincoln Ave., Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Lewis Gale Alleghany in Low Moor.

He was born June 12, 1956 in Clifton Forge, a son of Gilbert P. and Aletha Sampson Smith of Covington.

Mr. Smith retired from the former Alleghany Regional Hospital in the Maintenance Department.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Looney is survived by a daughter Tamuna Smith and her fiance, Chris of Roanoke; two brothers, Gilbert Smith, Jr. of Covington and Barry Smith of Staunton; two sisters, Aurelia Jackson and Jeff Jefferson of Baltimore, MD, and Tawanna Smith of Covington; a special friend, Myrtle Robinson of Covington, and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Cannon officiating.

The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The visitation was held Friday evening, March 6, 2015 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
