Mrs. Linda Rider Stearrett, age 58, of Midlothian, Virginia, died Sunday, March 8, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital, Midlothian.

She was the wife of Edward Paul "Ed" Stearrett, Sr.

Mrs. Stearrett was born November 2, 1956 in Alleghany County, the daughter of Lonnie Dan Rider and the late Ruth Pierce Rider.

A graduate of Radford University, she was a former teacher with the Chesterfield County School System.

Linda attended First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and loved to cook.

In addition to her father and husband, Mrs. Stearrett is survived by a son, Edward Paul "Eddie" Stearrett, Jr. of Chester; a daughter, Jamie Stearrett of Chester; a brother, Lynn Rider of Covington; a niece, Tracy Rider; and all remaining family members.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie B. Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Stearrett, Jr., Jimmy Stearrett, Mark Grossman, Darrin Stearrett, David Stearrett, John Stearrett, Sr. and Daryl Gentry.

The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 11:30 a.m. until service time at Loving Funeral Home.
