Thomas Ray Cunningham, 72, of Lexington, Virginia, died Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Mr. Cunningham was born on August 19, 1942 in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Milo Leland Cunningham and Nellie Virginia Ruley Cunningham.

He was retired as an air traffic controller in the United States Air Force and from Honeywell as a lab technician.

Besides his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jarmin Cunningham.

Mr. Cunningham is survived by one son, Thomas L. Cunningham of Richmond; one daughter, Debbie Ellis of Hopewell; two sisters, Freida Cunningham and Phyllis Caley, both of Roanoke; one brother, Erson Dwight Cunningham of Lexington.

Services will be private.

The Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
