Sweet Chalybeate Native Was Alleghany County School System Aide

Mrs. Armildia Snyder Bradley, age 81, of Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at LewisGale Medical Center, Salem.

She was the wife of Charles A. Bradley.

Mrs. Bradley was born September 24, 1933 in the Sweet Chalybeate section of Alleghany County, the daughter of the late John Robert Snyder and Dorothy Kirk Snyder.

A lifetime resident of this community, she attended Dunlap High School.

Armildia was employed as a secretary by Bradley's Sawmill until her retirement in 2007.

Armildia was a member of Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, the WomenÕs Circle and former trustee of the church. She was an aide for special needs children for the Alleghany County School System. Armildia was a member of the former Alleghany Association of Retarded Children.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Bradley is survived by a son, Charles A. Bradley, II and wife, Nancy of Covington, two daughters, Donna Bradley Bradley and husband, Ryland of Covington, and Sally Bradley of Covington; grandchildren, Scott Bradley and wife, Lisa, Amanda Tucker and husband, Gene, Victoria Bradley, Cole Bradley, Matthew Olewine and wife, Jennifer, Nathan Olewine and wife, Christine; great grandchildren, Cristin Bradley, Kaitlin Paxton, Ryan Tucker, Shawna Clarke and husband, Dustin, Logan Sartain and wife, Kayla, Kelsey Sartain, Isabella Sartain; two great great grandchildren, Michael Logan Paxton, Jr. and Amelia Olewine; one brother, Gene N. Snyder and wife, Linda of Covington; a sister, Betty S. Rogers and husband, Bob of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by one brother, Donald R. Snyder and one sister, Juanita Rose.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Church with Rev. Paul Burns officiating, assisted by Rev. Bill Gilliland. Interment will follow in Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Ryland and Donna Bradley, 4015 Midland Trail, Covington.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 4804 Johnson Creek Road, Covington, VA 24426 or Dunlap Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 218, Covington, VA 24426.
