Winifred Tucker Armstrong, age 93, of Covington, Virginia, died April 4, 2015.

Mrs. Armstrong was born November 14, 1921 at Jordon Mines, Virginia, the daughter of the late Grant Tucker and Eva McCallister Tucker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie E. Armstrong, and a son, James Michael Armstrong.

Surviving are three children, Dianne A. Wright, Dale E. Armstrong and Jeanette E. Armstrong; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, six great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Loving's Chapel with the Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rick Wright, James Wright, Stuart Turner, Christopher Scott "Scotty" Armstrong, Michael Casalena, and Brian "Kevin" Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Turner and Nathan Lee, Jr.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to service in Loving's Chapel: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015.
