Ada Helms Tucker, 87, of 6815 Bens Run Road, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital in Low Moor.

Mrs. Tucker was born July 28, 1927 in Craig County, a daughter of the late Pearl Helms.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Haven Tucker in 1997.

Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Tucker and Patsy Tucker and her husband Richard, all of Covington; one son, Darrel Tucker and his wife, Pearl of Covington; four grandchildren, Crystal Marsh and her husband, Scott of Clifton Forge; Darrel "Gene" Tucker and his wife, Amanda of Sweet Springs, WV; Richard Hosey and Bridget Campbell of Covington and Jennifer Hosey and James McCormack of Woodbridge; three great grandchildren, Kenny Tucker, Ryan Tucker and Xander Hosey McCormack.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Pamela Irvine officiating. The interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, May 6, 2015 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at the Arritt Funeral Home.
