Obituary for Danny Clay (JR) Roark, Sr. Danny Clay (JR) Roark, Sr.
Saltville Native Worked With Cole Shows

Danny Clay (JR) Roark, Sr., 66, of 6530 Indian Draft Road, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his residence.

He was born December 12, 1948 in Saltville, a son of the late Whorley E. and Golda Roark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Joelene Roark, and also by two brothers, Bailey Roark and Ron Harris.

He worked with Cole Shows, Inc.

He was a member of Covington Lodge 610 Loyal Order of Moose.

Surviving are two sons, Danny C. Roark, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC and Whirly "Eddie" Roark of Covington; a daughter, Emily Roark of Covington; six grandchildren, Savannah Roark, Katelynn Anderson, Goldie Roark, Ethan Roark, Cameron Roark and Bella Roark; a number of adopted grandchildren; two sisters, Annette Taylor and Cathy Harris, both of Saltville; the mother of his children and love of his life, Edna Roark of Winston-Salem, NC; nieces and nephews, Cole's Show family, Covington Moose Lodge family, and the Hunting family.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Dingess officiating.

The family will receive their friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time at the Arritt Funeral Home on Tuesday.

Following the service, friends are invited to join the family at Covington Lodge 610, Loyal Order of Moose for a meal and fellowship.
