Georline Rome McMullen Forbes, age 79, of 233 Forbes Hollow Road, Millboro, Virginia, died Monday, May 4, 2015 at her residence.

She was born July 6, 1935 in Bath County to the late Elmer and Maggie McAllister McMullen.

She was a former employee of Jane Colby and Bacova Guild, as well as a homemaker.

She was a member of Millboro Christian Church, and a loving mother, mother-in-law, sister, granny and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Phillip Forbes, Sr., and two sisters, Doris Mayberry and Florence LaPorte.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Sue Schwartzman of Boca Raton, FL, and Belinda Darlene Malinowski of Millboro; three sons, Mark Steven Forbes and wif,e Jean of Millboro, Andy Forbes of Millboro, and James P. Forbes, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Waldron, AK; three sisters, Louise Garrett and husband, James of Kerrs Creek, Elva Miller of Stuarts Draft, and Sandra Hevener and husband, Larry of Staunton; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren, including a special great granddaughter, Jordyn Forbes; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joyce Lewis and husband Vernon, Jean Craig and husband, Paul, and Carol Simmons.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will follow in Millboro Christian Cemetery, Millboro. Pallbearers will be Lee Forbes, Jeremiah Johnson, Michael Forbes, Mark Forbes, Jimmy Forbes and Andy Forbes. Johnny Mayberry will be and alternate pallbearer.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mark and Jean Forbes, 732 T. C. Walker Road, Millboro, VA.
