Clifton Forge Native Dies At Age 88

Mrs. Mary Murray (Bea) St. Clair, age 88, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday, May 8, 2015, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor, VA.

She was the wife of the late Lewis Anderson St. Clair.

Mrs. St. Clair was born August 17, 1926 in Clifton Forge, the daughter of the late Egbert Tatum Murray and Nina Burke Murray Huffman.

Bea was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother and great grandmother.

A member of Edgemont Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, she dearly loved her church home and friends and was a faithful member of the Busy Workers Sunday School Class.

Her home, her family and her friends were her life.

Mrs. St. Clair is survived by a son, Lewis Anderson "Andy" St. Clair, Jr.; a daughter, Joy St. Clair Schambach and husband, Richard; two grandsons, Robert Michael Littleton and wife, Shelley and John Berkley Littleton and wife, Amanda; two great grandsons, Mason Lewis Littleton and Dylan Wyeth Littleton; one brother, William Kemper Murray of Covington; three sisters, Willetta Murray Smiley of Craigsville, Edith Murray Bradberry of Clifton Forge, and Judy Huffman Cahoon of Cloverdale; a sister-in-law, Elinor Murray of Arroyo Grande, CA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Egbert Tatum Murray and Nina Burke Murray Huffman and her husband of almost sixty years, Lewis Anderson St. Clair.

Mrs. St. Clair was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Alfred St. Clair and two brothers, Ernest Murray and Junior Murray.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Edgemont Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Rev. Donnie Bowker officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul Burns.

A family interment will be held at Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Edgemont Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2306 S. Church Avenue, Covington, VA 24426.
