Obituary for Marvin Warren Livesay Marvin Warren Livesay
Former Hercules Engineer Was Paint Bank Native

Mr. Marvin Warren Livesay, age 79, of Roanoke, Virginia, formerly of Covington, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at Brian Center Nursing Care – Alleghany, Low Moor.

He was the husband of Teresa Ann Clifford Livesay.

Mr. Livesay was born October 24, 1935 in Paint Bank, the son of the late Robert T. Livesay and Amy McCaleb Livesay.

He was employed as a mechanical engineer and environmental engineer by the former Hercules, Inc.

Marvin was a member of Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church of Covington and a member of Bonsack Methodist Church in Roanoke. He was also a member of the Covington Kiwanis and the Roanoke Ruritan Club.

Mr. Livesay enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

In addition to his wife, Teresa Ann Clifford Livesay, Mr. Livesay is survived by one son, Alan Warren Livesay and wife, Daphne of Covington; three daughters, Marva L. Sellers and husband, Mitch of Covington, Lisa L. Jessee and husband, Rick of Covington, and Marsha L. Womack and husband, McKinley of Delaware; ten grandchildren, Samantha J. Tuttle and husband, Mike, Cory S. Jessee and wife, Ashley, Hillary Jessee, Patrick Alan Livesay and wife, Haley, Rachael R. Livesay, Adam Warren Livesay, Ethan A. Sellers, Haden M. Sellers, Kara Womack and Alyssa Womack; three great grandchildren, Noah Tuttle, Audrey Tuttle and Jackson Livesay; and one nephew, Mark Livesay of White Sulphur Springs, WV.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Livesay was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Livesay. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Tate and Rev. James M. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Granbery Memorial United Methodist Church.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Joy Brackman Weeks, Memorial Chairman, 2212 Dressler Drive, Covington, VA 24426.
