West Virginia Native Worked With Industrial Rayon Co., Was Former Trinity Baptist Church Member

Olive Arthur Brown, age 95, of 514 Bird Farm Road, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at LewisGale Hospital - Alleghany, Low Moor.

She was born October 10, 1919 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, to the late Willie Reese Arthur and Lillie Margaret Wade Arthur.

She was retired from the reeling department of Industrial Rayon in Covington and was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Norman Brown; a daughter, Carol Burley; six sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by a son-in-law, Jerry Nelson Burley and a granddaughter, Samantha Burley, of Richmond; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, including special niece, Bessie Bauman of Covington; and special friends and neighbors, David Pack of Covington and Bonnie and Ralph Tucker of Covington.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend David Brown officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is in charge of arrangements.
