Natural Bridge Station Resident Was 96
Margaret Ellen Blackburn, 96, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, passed away on
Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at her home.
She was born on January 17, 1919, in Natural Bridge, Virginia, a daughter of the late
Graham Ginger and Mary McCullough Ginger.
In addition to her parents she was
preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Edward "Ed" Blackburn; and two sisters,
Stella Reynolds and Maude Hickman.
Surviving are one daughter, Peggy A. Blackburn; two sisters, Anna G. Thompson
and Thelma G. Hickman; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her wonderful caregiver,
Crystal, who became their adopted daughter.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5, 2015, at
Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating. Burial
will follow at Natural Bridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5
to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory,
