Obituary for Goldie Bogar Tucker Goldie Bogar Tucker
Alleghany County Native Was Former Jane Colby Employee

Mrs. Goldie Bogar Tucker, age 75, of Bens Run, Covington, Virginia, departed this world, Sunday, July 19, 2015.

She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Claude Tucker.

She was born February 9, 1940 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Jacob and Lillian Wright Bogar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Bess.

Goldie was a former employee of the Jane Colby plant, a homemaker, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt.

In addition to her husband, Claude Tucker, Mrs. Tucker is survived by two sons, Chris Tucker and wife, Missy, Terry Tucker and companion, Tracey; three special grandchildren, Wyatt Tucker, Zachary Tucker and Morgan Myers; special sisters, Marlene Wolfe, Judy Clark and husband, David, Arlene Shinault and husband, Ted; brothers, Clifford and wife, Linda Bogar, Carl Bogar; a sister-in-law, Joyce Tucker; nieces, nephews and her special cat, My Friend.

She touched many people with her laughter and wit.

Goldie enjoyed her garden, watching birds and doing things with her friends and loving family.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Tucker, Zachary Tucker, Wyatt Tucker, Bruce Lowman, Donald Bruce and Timmy Givens. Alternate pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Marlene Wolfe, 5401 Potts Creek Road, Covington.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. Karen Buzzard, 807 McCormick Boulevard, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
