Obituary for James W. (Junior) Smith, Jr. James W. (Junior) Smith, Jr.
Alleghany High School Graduate Was Former Bontex Employee

James W. (Junior) Smith, Jr., age 56, of 214 Clover Lane, Selma, Virginia, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at his residence.

He was born on November 1, 1958 in Clifton Forge, Va. to James W. Smith, Sr. and the late Virginia Thurston Smith.

Junior was a 1977 graduate of Alleghany High School and was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church.

He was employed by Bontex as a construction worker.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Marie Smith.

Survivors include his father, James W. "Neighbor" Smith Sr.; his wife, Deena Sizemore Smith; a daughter, Jamie Jo Fischer and husband, Jason all of Selma; two sisters, Charlotte Taylor of Covington and Beverly Parchen and husband, Michael of Annandale; four grandchildren, Jennifer "Jenni" Caldwell, James "Bubba" Caldwell, Joseph "Joe Joe" Caldwell and Jason "Jay" Hall; his faithful companions, Blackberry and Daisy; special friends, Jeff McCoy, Gary Harlow, and Roger Bocook.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Moore officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Va.
