Christy Swartz Seldomridge, 67, of 3613 Midland Trail, Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, August 9, 2015, at her home.

Mrs. Seldomridge was born April 12, 1948, in Covington a daughter of the late Richard Swartz and Joyce Copper Swartz Lawler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband, Albert D. Seldomridge, Jr. in 2005 and her step-father, T. R. Lawler, in 2014.

She retired from the Alleghany County School Board as a teacher aide at the Callaghan Elementary School.

She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and longtime attendee at the Covington Moose Lodge dinners.

Surviving are her two daughters, Melissa Grant of Covington and April Garrett and her Husband, Josh, of Acworth, GA; her son, Albert D. "Buddy" Seldomridge, III, and his wife, Lynne, of Covington; ten grandchildren, Albert D. Seldomridge, IV, and Abby Seldomridge, both of Low Moor; Jordan Trevizo and her husband, Mike, of Lake Elsinore, CA, Sarah Grant of Keswick, Paxton Garrett and Eddy Claire Garrett, both of Acworth, GA; Rachel Grant, Jacob Clarke and Anthony Clarke, all of Covington, and Alyssa Johnson of Clifton Forge; two great grandsons, Hunter Frazier and Camryn Custer; one brother, Jeffrey Swartz of Florida and one sister, Nora Trout, of Columbia, SC.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. William Hartsfield officiating. Interment will be made in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive their friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
